A covering apparatus and a portable terminal including the same are provided to selectively open and close the inner portion of a product and to simplify the opening/closing structure by minimizing the overall volume of the product. A second cover(30) is placed at one side of a first cover(20), and moves toward the first cover. By the movement, the second cover is switched to an opening position placed at an upper portion of the first cover or a closing position separated from the upper portion of the first cover. A conversion cam(50) lifts the first cover down by converting the movement of the second cover into a life-up motion.
