A winch is provided to reduce the abrasion quantity of the winch by being protect from outside interruption and reduce maintenance and repair cost of the malfunction due to abrasion. A winch(1) comprises a drum(10), a rotary drum bearing(20), a supporting unit(50) and an operation drive(30). The rotary drum bearing supports the drum in a rotary shaft. The supporting unit supports the rotary drum bearing with the drum to a pivot axis(43) through one or more pivot joints in order to be able to pivot. The operation drive enable the drum to pivot manually to the pivot axis. The pivot axis is extended to the inside of the drum. The operation drive is partly arranged inside the drum.
