PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to confirm whether a medium printed with an image is an original or not on the basis of pattern information on the medium surface.

SOLUTION: An image forming system (S0) includes a medium-pattern-information read means (C5) for reading pattern information on the surface of a medium (S), a pattern-information-image forming means (C8) for forming a pattern information image (14a) on the basis of the read pattern information, and a print means (C9) that adds the pattern information image (14a) to a print image (11) to be printed on the surface of the medium (S) so as to print the print image on the medium (S).
