<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a wireless reader read a wireless tag without performing futile processing in the wireless tag reader using common firmware, regardless of the number of channels. <P>SOLUTION: Right after power is applied to a wireless tag reader, a control unit makes a communication part read identification information on the wireless tag. The control unit compares the read identification information with identification information stored in a RAM, switches an antenna successively until identical identification information is detected, and repeats read processing of the identification information on the wireless tag. When the control unit detects identical identification information, the number of channels determination part sets the number of pieces of identification information stored in the RAM as the number of channels. Then, when a tag information read instruction signal is output by the control unit, the control unit successively switches the antenna just for the number of set channels to perform read processing of tag information on the wireless tag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
