<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which a sharp image display is conducted without using any internal light source such as a backlight even in a dark place. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a structure including a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a second substrate laminated toward the display surface side in this order. The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a light storing layer including a light storing material and a reflection layer including a reflection material. In the liquid crystal display device, the light storing layer and the reflection layer have shapes which allow the light storing layer and the reflection layer to be alternately disposed when principal surfaces of the light storing layer and the reflection layer are seen in plan view, and the light storing layer stores light reflected from the reflection layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
