PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage or breakage of buried objects even if unexpected buried objects are buried in the ground, in excavating construction method for vertical holes. SOLUTION: A sucking excavation process includes an arrangement step for arranging a casing 10 in a predetermined region on the surface of the ground, a sucking excavating step for performing the sucking excavation of the ground exposed on the inner bottom of the casing 10 while making sure of the emergence of the buried objects prior to lowering the casing 10 onto the ground, and a lowering step for lowering the casing 10 onto the ground, following the sucking excavation in case buried objects are not emerged through the sucking excavation. The sucking excavation step starts the sucking excavation only after the arrangement of the casing 10, and the lowering step causes the casing 10 to be lowered by its own weight when the inner bottom of the casing is excavated through the sucking excavation. A series of steps from the sucking excavation step to the lowering step are repeated untill the ground is sucked and excavated up to a target depth. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
