PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method which can produce a high quality cast block for long time even when molten metal is in contact with a mold, and a mold unit used in the method, and a casting apparatus. SOLUTION: In the casting method, the molten metal 1 is supplied from a one part side of the mold 20 and the cast block 2 obtained by solidifying, is produced and discharged toward the other part side of the mold 20. The mold 20 is provided with the plurality of mold units 21 divided in the produced-out direction of the cast block 2, and one mold unit 21 is shifted to the other side together with the cast block 2, and the other mold unit 21 is supplied in order from the one side where the molten metal 1 is supplied.
