HUMAN ANTIBODY CAPABLE OF INDUCING APOPTOSIS

Disclosed is a human antibody which has a specific reactivity to two or more tumor cell lines including an ATL cell and which has both safety and a therapeutic effect, or a fragment of the antibody. A human antibody capable of recognizing an HLA-DRß chain expressed on the surface of a tumor cell or a fragment of the antibody can be produced. Particularly, it is found that a diabody of scFv, which is a fragment of the antibody, has a potent apoptosis-inducing ability against the HLA-DRß chain-expressing cell. The antibody or the fragment thereof is useful as a detection reagent, a diagnostic agent or a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for cancer including ATL and/or a viral infection.
