<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter capable of preferentially transmitting an important video frame and a sound part which are desired by a viewer as image information and sound information even when a line is in a congested state, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The transmitter 100 has: a data quality information acquisition part 20 which acquires image quality or sound quality information in at least one piece of input data of still image data, moving image data, and sound data, before data encoding, based on a predetermined criterion; a data encoding part 30 which encodes the input data; a transmission path encoding part 40 which associates the encoded data with a transmission path; a data importance determination part 10 which performs determination per predetermined pieces of data based on any of quality information of data, data encoding information, and transmitted data information to output importance information; and a transmission path packetization part which transmits a packet formed by dividing the transmission path encoded data, added with control information, by adding the importance information determined by the data importance determination part 10, to any of before, after, before and after the packet, to the transmission path 500. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
