<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image forming device from being used by a third person with a portable device such as an IC card when the portable device is lost or stolen. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming device 2, an IC card management section 28 detects abnormalities of an IC card 1 when it is used last time based on status information of the IC card 1 acquired through a transmission and reception section 25.
