PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input unit mainly used for an operation of various electronic devices for a vehicle, which can lessen erroneous operations and can handle diverse operations. SOLUTION: In the input unit, when an operating body 23 is horizontally moved by preparing the moving body 24 at a lower surface of the operating body 23 and by preparing a rotation deterrence means formed from an end of the moving body 24 and a ring 25 and regulating rotation of the operating body 23 between the moving body 24 and a case 21, the operating body 23 is hardly rotated by the rotation deterrence means. Therefore, an erroneous operation such as a simultaneous operation of a slide operation and a rotary operation is hardly generated, and the input unit capable of performing easy, and various operations can be obtained.
