PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system and an operation method thereof for recovering a computer system without reconfiguration by using backup data even when any failure occurs in a controlled system due to update of setting information. SOLUTION: In this computer system and an operation method thereof, at least one backup system server 13 and a storage device 14 for a backup system are installed independently of a main system server 11 and a storage device 12 for a main system, and the main system server 11 and the storage device 12 for the main system are respectively replicated to the backup system server 13 and the storage device 14 for the backup system.
