PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frozen dessert producing apparatus preventing an extraction path exit of frozen dessert from being kept open, and capable of improving detection accuracy of lifting and lowering action of a plunger with an arm. SOLUTION: This frozen dessert producing apparatus is formed with a take-out path 59 extending up and down on a freezer door 14. The frozen dessert producing apparatus has a plunger 16 which is provided at the take-out path 59 in a vertically movable manner, and blocks an exit 61A of an extraction path 61 in a lowered condition and opens the exit 61A of the extraction path 61 in a lifted condition, and a take-out lever 15 which moves up and down the plunger 16 by manual operation. Furthermore, the apparatus has an arm 64 whose end abuts on the upper surface of the plunger 16 and which is turnable in the vertical direction, a controller C which detects turning of the arm 64 with lifting of the plunger 16 and drives a beater 10, and an urging member (a coil spring 66) which always urges the arm 64 into a direction where the end of the arm 64 is lowered, and pushes down the plunger 16 with the arm 64.
