摘要 <p>An electronic circuit for use with a cellular network signal has a cellular engine (1100) having an on-clock and a sleep clock. A positioning engine (1190) is coupled to the cellular engine by a strobe line. At least one of the positioning engine and the cellular engine is operable to send a first strobe signal having a first strobe edge over the strobe line to the other engine, and the positioning engine further operable to send a message indicating the positioning time at the strobe edge, and suspend operation in the positioning engine. Cellular engine is operable in a first mode to maintain the time based on the positioning time and based on the on-clock at least occasionally synchronized to the cellular network signal, and further operable to enter a sleep mode and maintain the time based on the sleep clock and then reenter the first mode. Positioning engine is operable to resume operation and the cellular engine is operable to send a message indicating the maintained time at a second strobe edge. Positioning engine is further operable to establish an expedited first fix based on the maintained time from the cellular engine. Other electronic circuits, positioning systems, methods of operation, and processes of manufacture are also disclosed and claimed.</p>
