<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printing process providing high wet-fast printed matter while suppressing forming of koga on an inkjet printing head, and preventing unnecessary loss of a fixer and induction of smudging to unprinted areas. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printing process comprising the steps (a) and (b) in either order or simultaneously. (a) applying an ink to a substrate by means of an inkjet printer to form an image on the substrate, and (b) applying to the substrate a fixing composition comprising a liquid medium and a polymer containing a plurality of monoguanide and/or biguanide groups obtained by solvent polymerization or melt polymerization of guanidine salt other than guanidine hydrochloride and 3-18C hydrocarbyl diamine by means of an inkjet printer, characterized in that in the fixing composition has a chloride concentration less than 400 ppm by weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
