PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display unit using the delta arrangement and capable of improving quality of picture image by eliminating stripe-like unevenness in luminance. SOLUTION: When picture signal voltage to be applied on a source line SLn(B) is VB(n)o, and picture signal voltage after correction is V'B(n)o, the picture signal voltage after correction V'B(n)o is obtained by the following expression: V'B(n)o=VB(n)o-ηBo(VG(n-1)o-VB(n)o) (wherein,ηBo is the correction factor corresponding to the displayed color (blue), (VG(n-1)o-VB(n)o) indicates difference in potential between the source line SLn(B) and the source line SLn-1(G), and the value obtained by multiplying the difference in potential by the correction factor is a correction value). The picture signal voltage to be written into a picture element electrode 11 is corrected by subtracting the correction value from the picture signal voltage to cancel the influence on the assumption that the picture signal voltage is affected by the difference in potential.
