PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blur correcting device having a lock mechanism which locks an optical component for performing blur correction, and optical equipment in which the blur correcting device is mounted. SOLUTION: The image blur correcting device includes: a movable holding member 14 holding the optical component 12 for performing image blur correction; a lock member 16 locking the holding member 14 when operation for image blur correction is not performed; a conductive contact terminal 80 energizing position detecting patterns 60 to 63 provided in the lock member 16 and sliding on the position detecting patterns 60 to 63 with movement of the lock member 16; and a detection circuit electrically connected to the contact terminal 80, and detecting the relative position of the lock member 16 to the holding member 14 based on the relative position of the contact terminal 80 to the position detecting patterns 60 to 63.
