PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic component whose mounting quality and strength are stabilized by securing the smoothness of a protecting film on the upper face of the component. SOLUTION: The antistatic component includes drawing out electrodes provided at both ends on the upper face of a ceramic base material 11, an overvoltage protecting material layer 14 provided for covering a gap 13 between a part of the drawing out electrode 12 and a drawing out electrode 12, and the protecting film provided for covering the overvoltage protecting material layer 14. The protecting film consists of a first protecting film 15 formed encircling the overvoltage protecting material layer 14 to reduce a level difference from the overvoltage protecting material layer 14, and a second protecting film 16 formed covering the overvoltage protecting material layer 14 and the first protecting film 15 to smooth their surfaces.
