[Also in Group XXXVIII] In a machine recording data for automatic computing equipment, a tape recording apparatus is provided with means for moving a container or spool 1 to an inoperative position, Fig. 3, by means of the actuation of a relay 12 whereby a spring-supported member 9 is tilted to release a further member supported by a spring 6 and holding the spool 1 in the operative position until such time that the member 9 is tripped, the spring 6 alone being insufficient to support the spool 1 in the operative position.
