PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket with PTFE sheets laminated on and bonded to both surfaces of a concentric corrugated metal thin plate as a core, and to ensure stable seal performance over a long period of time under low to high clamp load. SOLUTION: A valley part 11a is buried from the beginning by filling powder sealant 14 into the trough part 11a of the metal thin plate 11, void in the past. Thereby, the PTFE sheets 12, 13 above and under the trough part 11a of the metal thin plate 11, not compressed with the low clamp load in the past, are compressed, and clamp bearing is ensured over the whole surface under the low clamp load. In addition, deformation of the sheets large in the past is suppressed, the low-fluidity PTFE sheets are not destroyed even if a high clamp load is applied thereto. Besides, the thinner PTFE sheets 12, 13 can be used, and the PTFE sheets 12, 13 cause no penetration and leakage under the low clamp load. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
