摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make large heat quantity carrying and high reliability compatible. SOLUTION: In a linear electromagnetic pump, joint portions 142, 132 are mounted to both ends of a pipe 141. One joint portion 142 is coupled to a pipe on a heat exchanger 11 side, and the other joint portion 143 is coupled to a pipe 13 on a heat radiating device 12 side. An electric current passing medium mixing conductive polymer in a liquid medium is injected into the pipe 141, and a driving portion 144 is mounted on a peripheral surface thereof. The driving portion 144 is arranged with a pair of electrodes 145A, 145B applying an electric field from the peripheral surface of the pipe 141 to the current passing medium in the pipe 141, and a pair of coils 146A, 146B generating a magnetic field in a direction orthogonal to a direction of a current passing by the electric field and a direction generating electromotive force in a medium passing direction. The electric field and the magnetic field are simultaneously applied in a direction orthogonal to each other, thereby generating electromagnetic force in a moving direction on the current passing medium.
