PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin addition capable of improving electric performance of an insulator of the direct current power cable and reducing a chance of contamination with a foreign substance. SOLUTION: The liquid resin addition comprises (A) a cross linking agent, which is liquid at normal temperature or liquefied by heating, (B)triallyl isocyanurate, and (C) at least one kind of compound selected among bis(3-ethyl-5-methyl-4-maleimide phenyl) methane, 2,2-bis[4-(4-maleimide phenoxy)phenyl]propane, N,N'-m-phenylene bismaleimide, N,N'-(4,4'-diphenylmethane)bismaleimide and other phenylmaleimide compounds. The liquid resin additive contains 5-200 pts.mass of the component B based on 100 pts.mass of the component A, and 5-100 pts.mass of the component C based on 100 pts.mass of the component A.
