PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of not only conducting the recording under control of a control device but also generating the recording simply through manipulation of the recording device, and capable of suppressing the requisite memory quantity for recording and reducing an increase in the cost. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording device is structured so that the memory quantity used in recording itself is changed between the recording through the control device and recording to be conducted by manipulating the recording device directly.
