<p>This invention provides an electrode for discharge surface treatment, which can form a zinc film having a high coverage using a zinc material having a low melting point. A zinc-based powder formed of at least one of a pure metallic zinc powder and a metallic zinc powder of which the surface has been oxidized, and not less than 5% by volume and not more than 90% by volume, based on the zinc-based powder, of a zinc oxide powder are evenly distributed followed by compression molding to produce an electrode for discharge surface treatment having a porosity of not less than 10% by volume and not more than 55% by volume. The electrode is used for forming a zinc film.</p> |
