<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a metal oxide fiber material-formed body by which the shape such as length or diameter of the metal oxide fiber material can be controlled within a wider range. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the metal oxide fiber material-formed body having a base material and a metal oxide fiber material formed on the surface of the base material is provided. The method comprises (1) a step of heating a raw material for the base material comprising a constituent metal of the metal oxide fiber material under a first atmosphere in which the oxygen concentration is a first oxygen concentration and (2) a step of heating the raw material for the base material heated in the first atmosphere in which the oxygen concentration is the first oxygen concentration under a second atmosphere at a second oxygen concentration different from the first oxygen concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
