<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an onboard-equipment remote controller improving a security without damaging a convenience so that others do not enter to a car after a driver's unlocking operation at a remote place till getting in. <P>SOLUTION: An onboard machine controls the unlocking of onboard equipment by starting the transmission of a question signal to a portable machine and receiving a response signal responding to the question signal from the portable machine when receiving the remote-control signal of an unlocking from the portable machine.
