<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle information recording and collection system, capable of rapidly performing setting change of recording object in a vehicle information recording device and collection of recorded vehicle information. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle information recording and collection system includes a plurality of drive recorders 100 and a center system 200. The center system 200 transmits setting change request information including vehicle information to be set to a specified recording object to the drive recorder 100 of an inspection object vehicle by radio communication. The drive recorder 100 changes, upon receipt of setting change request information from the center system 200 by radio communication, the setting of recording object of the vehicle information based on the setting change request information.
