PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of efficiently cooling a developing section and preventing toner from entering a heat generating part such as a power source section. SOLUTION: Onto a lower surface of a partition 12, outside air has been introduced by a suction fan 72, and positive pressure is therefore produced compared to the vicinity of an image forming section 20, thereby preventing toner from entering from the image forming section 20 to an area near a high voltage power source section 50. This prevents trouble such as toner's being heated and melted in and near the high voltage power source section 50, which is a heat generating body. Since airflow flows along the lower surface of the partition 12, not only heat dissipated by the high voltage power source section 50 but also the heat of the partition 12 itself can be absorbed and cooled. Thus, the partition 12 can be cooled and the developing section 14 disposed integrally with the partition 12 can also be cooled. This cooling effect is configured so that a current of cooling air outside the apparatus is prevented from being directly introduced and exhausted into the image forming section 20 including the developing section 14.
