PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of taking an image of a scene which an animal looks at. SOLUTION: A direction detection member 40 attached at the head of a dog 50 detects an elevation angle or a depression angle (θ1) of the dog 50, and transmits it to a direction control portion. Then, the direction control portion changes the imaging direction (θ2) of an imaging lens 24, according to the results detected by the direction detection member 40.
