PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of reducing the disk capacity used for backup. SOLUTION: The storage device 4 in a computer system including a server device 1 includes an input and output means 5 which performs input and output of data with the server device 1; a first storage means 14 which stores data transmitted from the server device through the input and output means 5; a differential data extraction means 17 which extracts differential data based on data before and after update stored in the first storage means 14; a plurality of second storage means 15a and 15b which stores the differential data extracted by the differential data extraction means 17; a connected data generation means 17 which connects the data stored in the first storage means 14 with the data stored in the second storage means 15a and 15b to generate data; a data conversion means 10 which converts the data generated by the connected data generation means 17 to a predetermined data format; and a data output means 11 which outputs the data converted by the data conversion means 10 to a recording medium.
