PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve control accuracy of EGR system. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas recirculation control device includes an intake air flow rate detection means detecting intake air flow rate Vair1; an intake air reference value detection means detecting intake air flow rate reference value Vair0 from an operation condition and the intake air flow rate, and diagnosing abnormality of the intake air flow rate detection means from the intake air flow rate and the intake air flow rate reference value; an EGR cooler radiation heat detection means detecting EGR cooler radiation heat Qclr1 from the operation condition, the intake air flow rate, and the control target value; an EGR route diagnosis means diagnosing abnormality of an EGR route from the intake air flow rate; an EGR cooler diagnosis means diagnosing abnormality of the EGR cooler based on the control target value, and the EGR cooler radiation heat quantity; and an EGR control means controlling open and close of an EGR valve based on the diagnosis results of the EGR route diagnosis means and the EGR cooler diagnosis means, and the control target value.
