PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a pair of V-shaped foldable panels in a folding door and to lock the panels to a lower frame in an optional position in the longitudinal direction of upper and lower frames. SOLUTION: One stile 21 on the overhang side of the pair of panels 2 is protrusively provided with a plate-like projecting member 3, and a locking member 5 is installed at the other stile 21. When the pair of panels 2 are folded and both stiles 21 are strongly pressed with the fingertips, the projecting member 3 enters the locking member 5 side, and its pressing part 33 presses an inclined part 63 of a plate-like engaging member 62 arranged at the upper end of a rod 6 of the locking member 5. The rod 6 descends with the guide of a slide guide 51, and its tip is brought into pressure contact with the lower frame 12. A locking recess 34 of the projecting member 3 is locked to a locking member 42 and the engaging member 62, and the panels 2 are integrated and locked to the lower frame 12. Since a spring 56 is energized by the descent of the rod 6, if both stiles 21 are opened with the fingertips, lock is automatically released by reverse operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
