PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a helmet which is simply constituted and can easily be produced. SOLUTION: In this helmet 1, an impact-absorbing liner 3 is mounted on the inside of an upper shell 2, and an under shell 4 is disposed on the lower portion. A rivet 19 for passing through penetrated holes 16, 17 formed in a chin strap 5 is separately disposed. Groove portions 11, 12 for receiving the chin strap 5 are formed on the upper shell 2 side of the impact-absorbing liner 3, and dents 13, 14 are formed in the groove portions. The chin strap 5 is passed through a hole disposed at the lower end of the frame portion 23 of the under shell 4, and engaged with the dents 13, 14 of the impact-absorbing liner 3 with the rivet 19 passed through the penetrated holes 16, 17 of the chin strap 5.
