INK-JET RECORDING PAPER

[PROBLEMS] To provide an ink-jet recording paper of the plain paper type which, when used in printing with a high-speed ink-jet printer, has high ink-drying properties and has high unsusceptibility to feathering to make a high-resolution bar code printable thereon, and which has water resistance and a high whiteness. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The ink-jet recording paper is for use in a printer of the roll paper feeding type having a printing speed of 100 m/min or higher. The paper is obtained by applying a coating fluid containing a cationic resin, an anionic fluorescent dye, and a binder and containing no pigment to a base paper comprising a pulp, rosette-form lightweight calcium carbonate as a loading material, and a neutral rosin sizing agent as an internal sizing agent. The paper has a Stockigt sizing degree as provided for in JIS-P8122 of 10-25 seconds and an ash content as provided for in JIS-P8251 of 13-25%.
