#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves supplying current in a predetermined time interval to test a connection e.g. plug-in connection, between a receiver (8) e.g. radio/navigation device, and an antenna terminal, where the predetermined time interval amounts to 10 minutes. The supplied current is flowed over a current path, and the current path is maintained between two connection pins of the antenna terminal by a jumper. An antenna (4) is connected with the receiver over the antenna terminal, and operating current of an impedance converter (2) is supplied during the testing of an antenna connection. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a device for diagnosis of an antenna connection for a motor vehicle. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for diagnosis of an antenna connection for a motor vehicle, during production or quality testing, in a factory. Can also be used for testing antenna connection in ship and aircraft and for testing an electrical connection. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The current is supplied for the predetermined time interval to test the connection between the receiver e.g. radio/navigation device, and antenna terminal, thus enabling the diagnosis of the antenna connection in an error-free manner, and hence preventing damages i.e. localized corrosion, at metallic structures of the motor vehicle. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a schematic block diagram illustrating interaction of an impedance converter, an antenna and a receiver. 2 : Impedance converter 4 : Antenna 8 : Receiver. |
