PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate search for desired information through information recorded in advance. SOLUTION: A digital camera detects the position of the camera by processing in a CPU 101 according to GPS signals received by a GPS sensor 107, and records a history of detected positions in a memory 114. A space/time database recorded in a wirelessly connected server device or in a memory card 115 is searched for desired information on the position history and position data in information recorded in advance in the space/time database.
