PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment capable of more easily searching an image held by an imaging apparatus to be a transmission source, and to provide its control method or the like. SOLUTION: Time indicated by an internal clock is received from a transfer source camera, a difference from the time indicated by the internal clock of the transfer source camera is measured, and the difference is stored as correction time (step S403). Time (reference time) obtained by adding the correction time to photographing time of an image reproduced in a step S401 and a retrieval time range with the reference time as reference are transmitted to the transfer source camera (step S404). For example, if the photographing time of a reference image is "10:00 on July 9, 2007", the correction time is "-5 minutes" and a retrieval time range is "±1 minute", "09:55 on July 9, 2007" and "±1 minute" are transmitted to the transfer source camera.
