PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin, a toner and an electrophotographic device for an electrophotographic process including steps of transferring a plurality of toner images having different colors onto an image-receiving sheet, stacking and fixing to form a color image, wherein, even when an oil-less fixing process is carried out or the process speed is varied in a wide range, both of superior fixing property and anti-offset property are achieved and consequently a color image with high color reproducibility and high quality can be formed. SOLUTION: Color toner is obtained by kneading a toner composition containing a specified binder resin so as to cut molecules of the binder resin by the mechanical energy during kneading. The binder resin contains a high molecular weight component that shows, in the molecular weight distribution by GPC, a molecular weight maximum peak in a region of molecular weights from 2×103to 3×104, a molecular weight maximum peak or shoulder in a region from 3×104to 1×106, and a predetermined amount or more of the molecular weight maximum peak or shoulder present in a region of molecular weights from 3×104to 1×106.
