PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring determination method and an analyzer capable of determining easily and surely whether liquid contained in a vessel is properly stirred by an acoustic wave generated by an acoustic wave generation means attached to the vessel. SOLUTION: The stirring determination method is provided, which is used in the analyzer for stirring the liquid contained in the vessel by the acoustic wave generated by a surface elastic wave element 8 attached to the vessel 7, and measuring an optical characteristic of a reacted reaction liquid, to thereby perform analysis. The analyzer is also provided. The stirring determination method includes a temperature measuring process for measuring a liquid temperature on a position where a temperature difference is generated before and after stirring of the liquid, and a determination process for determining whether the liquid is properly stirred based on a temperature rising rate in the measured temperature of the liquid.
