PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect-repelling steel plate without damaging processability and weldability, jointly equipped with excellent corrosion resistance and excellent insect repellency. SOLUTION: This insect-repelling steel plate is provided by preferably using a zinc-based plated steel plate as a substrate plate, and coating a resin layer comprising a resin composition containing a corrosion inhibitor and a repellent or further a lubricant on at least one side surface of the steel plate, and having 0.3 to 4 g/m<SP>2</SP>mass attached per the unit surface area of the steel plate. The repellent is preferably a mixture of at least one of the insect-repelling component consisting mainly of a pyrethroid-based compound and at least one of a fatty acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol having≥250°C boiling point, and is preferably attached by 0.002 to 0.4 g/m<SP>2</SP>mass per the unit area of the steel plate. Thereby, it is possible to improve corrosion resistance and insect repellency for repelling the insects such as cockroach, etc. , markedly without decreasing its processability and weldability.
