PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger pinch preventing cover which is attached to rotary fittings, and functions to prevent finger pinch at stopper portions of the rotary fittings when a footstool or the like is opened from a folding position to a leg-opening position when used. SOLUTION: According to the structure of a folding platform such as the footstool, by interposing the pairing rotary fittings 4, 4 whose lugs 4a, 4a are pivoted to each other by a rivet 5, between upper ends of mutually opposed front and rear supports 1, 1 of a pair of front and rear leg bodies 3, 3, the position of both the leg bodies 3, 3 is changeable between the folding position and the leg-opening position. Further by abutting the stopper portions formed on upper edges of the lugs 4a, 4a of the rotary fittings 4, 4, respectively, both the leg bodies 3, 3 can be held in the leg-opening position. The finger pinch preventing cover is provided for preventing finger pinch by the mutually opposed stopper portions of the rotary fittings 4, 4 when both the leg bodies 3, 3 are opened from the folding position. The cover is formed of a pair of cover main bodies 8, 8 which are mounted on the footstool so as to pinch the rotary fittings 4, 4 on both sides, and to always wrap part of both the stopper portions.
