The device (2) has a nozzle (4) provided for applying cleaning fluid on a pane (3). An adjusting device is provided for moving the nozzle between two positions with respect to the pane to be cleaned. The adjusting device has an actuator for adjusting the nozzle, where the actuator has a form retention element that is partially formed from form retention alloy or form retention polymer such as from organic form retention polymer. The form retention element is formed as spring element, and is attached to a resetting element i.e. reset spring.
