<p>Conventional drain plug devices where a plug lid is opened and closed by a pull of a chain, wire, or the like have a complex structure which is prone to failure and is difficult to clean. Further, in conventional drain plug devices where a plug lid is opened and closed by using a mechanical box provided with a thrust lock mechanism, the plug lid is remotely operated by a release wire which requires labor and time for mounting. A bathtub plug device of the invention has a mechanical box for lifting and lowering a plug lid of a drain plug, a support member for supporting the mechanical box and placed and held at a drain opening, and a chain, wire, or the like anchored to the upper surface of the plug lid connected to a support shaft of the mechanical box. A thrust lock mechanism of the mechanical box is operated by a pull of the chain, wire, or the like, and the drain plug is opened and closed by ascending and descending of the plug lid effected by vertical movement of the support shaft of the mechanical box.</p> |
