<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for generating a travel track capable of generating a travel track with consideration of fuel consumption characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The device for generating a travel track 1 for generating a future travel track of a vehicle includes a restriction condition computing means 31 for convergence-computing a restriction condition including at least a condition of a road boundary line, and an evaluation function computing means 31 for deriving a travel track by convergence computation with an evaluation function including at least the evaluation of the total amount of released heat by brake deceleration in a state where a restriction condition in the restriction condition computing means 31 is satisfied.
