<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which makes it easy to position a hinge unit, a box body main body section and a lid body and which has a hinge unit with a high strength. <P>SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine has a rotation drum rotatable around a horizontal rotation axis, an outer tub having the rotation drum inside, a box body main body section having the outer tub inside, an openable and closable lid body for opening and closing an input output opening located in front of the rotation drum, an input output opening located in front of the outer tub and an input output opening located in front of the box body main body section, and a hinge unit making the lid body openably and closable and supporting it. The hinge unit has a hinge base and a connection hinge pivotably supported with the hinge base through a rotation mandrel. The connection hinge has, on one end, two grips separating into two for gripping the lid body, and, on the other end, two support bases separating into two supported by the rotation mandrel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
