<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer system that can attempt energy saving, by more appropriately supplying power supply control to a main CPU section. <P>SOLUTION: A sub-microcomputer 3, having a sub-CPU 8 and a power supply control section 24 that controls power supply to a main microcomputer 2, is disposed in addition to the main microcomputer 2, having a main CPU 4. A sub-clock section 9 that supplies a sub-clock signal of lower frequency to the sub-microcomputer 3 is able to change-over between a continuous mode and an intermittent mode. When the main CPU 4 gives an operation stop notification to the sub-CPU 8, by determining that own operation stop condition is met, the sub-CPU 8 recognizes the notification, stops power supply to the main microcomputer 2, and sets the sub-clock section 9 in the intermittent mode. The sub-CPU 8 determines whether the operation start condition is satisfied in a period, while the sub-clock signal is supplied in the intermittent mode. And when the condition is met, the sub-CPU 8 changes-over the sub-clock section 9 to the continuous mode to restart power supply to the main microcomputer 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
