<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rider support system for motorcycles and to enable the system to improve safety of motorcycle driving markedly by avoiding defects. <P>SOLUTION: The rider support system, in particular, for motorcycles, has a sensor device for detecting a traveling direction or an obstacle present substantially in the traveling direction. In the rider support system, the sensor device (3) calculates a flat safe zone (13) ahead of the two-wheeler and/or a three-dimensional safe zone (13) in dependence upon at least one traveling parameter (7), a rider parameter (8), a two-wheeler parameter (9) and/or an environment parameter (10), and outputs a signal (14) when the two-wheeler (1) is present within the safe zone (13). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
