PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing generation of a storability defect of a recording medium. SOLUTION: This discharge device is provided with a formation chute 641 provided on a downstream side of a discharge mechanism 630 in an arrow D direction of a sheet P discharged by the discharge mechanism 630 to form an oblique corrugation K with respect to the arrow D direction. The formation chute 641 has a guide part 641a for guiding the discharged paper P and a forming part 641b for forming the oblique corrugation K with respect to the arrow D direction on the sheet P guided by the guide part 641a.
