PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, an information processing method and a program which can suitably construct a system for monitoring information of equipment. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: an acquisition target receiving means for receiving the specification of equipment whose information is to be obtained out of data composing the information by an application for providing the information of the equipment connected to a network to a user; a URI generation means for generating an URI of data to be obtained based on the specification by the application; a data acquisition means for transmitting an acquisition request of data corresponding to the URI and acquiring the data by receiving a response to the acquisition request; and a recording means for recording the obtained data in a storage area which can be referred to by the application.
