PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension type carrier capable of preventing damage and falling of a carrying object, even when an unintended event occurs. SOLUTION: This suspension type carrier 100 includes a falling preventive member 141 for preventing falling of the carrying object 300 to a reference surface, a converting device 142 for converting the position of the falling preventive member 141 to a position for receiving the carrying object 300 by interfering with the falling carrying object 300 and a position which does not interfere with a rising carrying object 300, and a hinge structural member 143 for connecting the fall preventive member 141 and the converting device 142 so that the fall preventive member 141 may avoid the carrying object 300 when the rising carrying object 300 is in contact with the falling preventive member 141.
